Satellite Star MEME

MEMES

Supports:

It’s a solid stat stick that’s on-par with Ayer/Stil|STEEL series, but its gimmick will rarely see use outside of headshotting mobs at long-range, which is where it shines… if Launcher didn’t exist.

LevelPotential Effect
1+11% damage. Boosts uncharged Sat Can’s damage by 300%.
2+13% damage. Boosts uncharged Sat Can’s damage by 300%.
3+15% damage. Boosts uncharged Sat Can’s damage by 300%.

Nova Series

Supports:

While polar opposite in Orbit’s original colors, this final successor of the Orbit line gets 15* treatment, taking from both it’s predecessors with one added twist. Nova has both Urgent Maneuver 1 & 2 from the Orbit series, the former being the one that is most useful no doubt. It also retains the S3 slot from Mirage, while adding the S4 slot for use.

Now Ranger has an abundance of ways to recover PP; Genon, traps & tools and other (better) PP batteries like Austere all crush render Nova irrelevant in that field in which its older sibling once reigned king.

That brings us to its strength. Nova has base stats just above Lightstream and a nice multiplier to boot. Though it’ll slack behind Lightstream without it’s trump card being Raising Pursuit for a theoretical max of 8.5% damage increase, YMMV depending on the scenario of course. Along with the base PP benefits, it could be used as a weaker alternative to Lightstream. Using Lustrous Trap S4, granting a total (40% of max PP) regen from all traps along with the 200% natural regen while sheathed (traps sheathe your weapon) has some synergy. Not to mention 60% APPR which can boost launcher normal regen considerably.

Overall while it’s strength is still to be sought after, its efficiency while providing decent base damage all at once is something that an Austere user with PB effects would envy.

An old video of Nova’s PP regen potential is shown below:

Anacates Fonte

Supports:

UIItemAnacatesFonte

The Fonte is a new addition to the 15Star lineup and already has a strong showing with its potential and overall average baseline damage. As with all Anacates weapons the potential heals % HP and gives a flat PP value after doing a certain amount of damage then sheathing. Ranger has no issues doing enough damage AND has no issues sheathing weapons due to using traps. What this entails is % PP based regen off whatever trap you use in addition to the % HP and fixed PP recovery. However if you are using Etoile subclass, the % HP recovery is effected by Damage Balancer, so you basically heal nothing.

With massive refunds and heals around every 15~20s this weapons easily synergizes with Ranger’s native ways of PP regen thus giving more opportunity to do DPS. Very efficient and easy to use, would recommend farming Sage Crests for this weapon if you intend on getting this and are not using Ranger/Etoile.

LevelPotential Effect
1Increase Power by 6%. Recover HP and PP upon sheathing your weapon based on the amount of damage dealt.
2Increase Power by 8%. Recover HP and PP upon sheathing your weapon based on the amount of damage dealt.
3Increase Power by 10%. Recover HP and PP upon sheathing your weapon based on the amount of damage dealt.

Aplos Orb/Dusk

ui_item_1080357.png

Obtainable as a exchange through the Cobalt Medal shop, or as a drop.

Also used as a component for Puras series.

Matching Atlas’ EX base at a minimum, and Lightstream (without +3% boost) at most, Aplos Orb is a strong contender among current endgame rifles due to its PP regeneration utility it provides. Consider the following if you’re on the fence about it:

  1. You want to play Ranger but can’t/won’t invest into Atlas EX or Lightstream for a rifle.
  2. You want easier ways to sustain/upkeep PP during DPS situations.
  3. You like the rifle’s aesthetics.

Furthermore, the 5 PP/s from Orb makes most, if not all, PA costs in half on Ranger; Parallel Slider t-0 for example costs 10 PP/s, but when combined with PP Save Bullet and PP reduction effect from Shifta, PS t-0’s cost can be brought down to nearly 2 PP/s while channeling!

Vanilla Parallel Slider-0 drain is 10PP/s
8PP/s with PP Save Bullet
7PP/s with Save Bullet and Shifta drink cost reduction
6PP/s with all of the above + Fighter’s TAJAPPS
Subtract 5PP/s from each to find out what the cost is with Orb:
Vanilla Parallel Slider-0 drain is 5PP/s with Orb
3PP/s with PP Save Bullet and Orb
2PP/s with Save Bullet, Shifta drink cost reduction and Orb
1PP/s with all of the above, Fighter’s TAJAPPS and Orb(!!)

LevelPotential Effect

2Increases power by 11%. Halts Natural PP regen, but you gain 5 PP every second.
3Increases power by 13%. Halts Natural PP regen, but you gain 5 PP every second.

Ayer/Cras Series

Cras supports:
Ayer supports:

64px-UIItemDarkbanisherAyerAssault
64px-UIItemLightweaverCrasCannon

Now the best weapon series for the entirety of PSO2’s lifespan; this weapon offers amazing bonuses for any class: PP reduction AND passive PP regen, with the Cras series granting additional damage reduction and knockback immunity! Plus, Ayer supports 1-4 S-class abilities, with Cras bumping it up to 5, which means with certain abilities you can match, or outdamage Stil! With all these great benefits, there is one big downside: Rifle can’t utilize Cras’ potential effectively as it requires 3 normal attacks (no Step Attack or Dive Roll Shoot), which means you are forced to consume 3 Weak Bullets | Blight Rounds and lose their potential uptime. Video of Cras Potential Interaction

unknown-39.png

This is still the strongest weapon that’s relatively easier to acquire, but as the secondary potential clashes with Ranger’s gameplay, you’ll need a Gunslash/Launcher if you want to make full use of it.

LevelPotential Effect (Ayer)
1Boosts damage by 10%. Reduces PP consumption by ??%. Recovers 20 PP every 10 seconds.
2Boosts damage by 11%. Reduces PP consumption by ??%. Recovers 20 PP every 10 seconds.
3Boosts damage by 12%. Reduces PP consumption by 20%. Recovers 20 PP every 10 seconds.
Reincarnation of Fate
LevelPotential Effect (Cras)
1Grants the effect of “Reincarnation of Fate”. After using three Normal Attacks, for 30 seconds, changes the effect of this Potential to: Boosts damage by 16.60%, reduces damage taken by 30%, and negates knockback (30s Recast after effect ends)
2Grants the effect of “Reincarnation of Fate”. After using three Normal Attacks, for 30 seconds, changes the effect of this Potential to: Boosts damage by 17.66%, reduces damage taken by 30%, and negates knockback (30s Recast after effect ends)
3Grants the effect of “Reincarnation of Fate”. After using three Normal Attacks, for 30 seconds, changes the effect of this Potential to: Boosts damage by 18.72%, reduces damage taken by 30%, and negates knockback (30s Recast after effect ends)

Puras / Stil Series

Supports:

64px-UIItemCarbineStil.png
64px-UIItemMaulStil.png

Gix already had 2 brothers, but these two are the half siblings. Both Puras and Stil are the pinnacle of high reward while having an all-or-(almost)-nothing potential based on receiving damage that is more forgiving than the Gix family.

Both weapons are incredibly annoying to make; both requiring you to sacrifice a boss-specific drop, Rifle even demanding you to sacrifice Ranger’s best utility Rifle: Genon Zabalah. Unlike Gix & their related series however, you start with all the bonuses it provides, losing 3% per hit, down to a minimum 10%, and builds up 0.4% every second when not at max.

Despite the grind locked behind Carbine series, these weapons are the strongest for virtually every class, but making full use of Stil on Ranger will be very situational.
– Spin Cycle

tl;dr
Massive grind wall for strong weapons. Don’t get hit for high damage boosts.

– Zenora

LevelPotential Effect (Stil)
1Power bonus decreases when taking damage and recovers over time (min. 8%, recharges to full in ~16s). When Power bonus is 14%, gain 40% Damage Resistance, increase Natural PP Recovery by 60%, regenerate 20 PP every 10 seconds, and become Massive (Super armor).
2Power bonus decreases when taking damage and recovers over time (min. 9%, recharges to full in ~16s). When Power bonus is 15%, gain 40% Damage Resistance, increase Natural PP Recovery by 60%, regenerate 20 PP every 10 seconds, and become Massive (Super armor).
3Power bonus decreases when taking damage and recovers over time (min. 10%, recharges to full in ~16s). When Power bonus is 16%, gain 40% Damage Resistance, increase Natural PP Recovery by 60%, regenerate 20 PP every 10 seconds, and become Massive (Super armor).

Million / Croesus Series

ui_item_1080269
ui_item_1080270
ui_item_1090271
ui_item_1090272

Supports:

The Million (silver) and Krisa | Croesus (gold) series are both identical in terms of stats and the drop-only Krisa | Croesus series is purely a cosmetic difference (similar to Zeinesis and Qliphad), but has a remarkably easier stat requirements (300 DEX!!!) to use! What this weapon offers is yet another freebie weapon through badges with a bit of an interesting potential and a damage topping out around current gear, great for returning players or those looking to gear alts.

Million’s potential has an approximate 10% chance to activate one of four effects:

Reduce damage taken by 50% when attacked.
Increase PP recovery of normal attacks by 100%.
Reduce PP consumption upon activation of a PA or Tech by 50%.
Recover HP upon an successful attack (100 HP).

Million also has a hidden 15% damage bonus that isn’t written in the weapon’s description, and with the slots the damage is around Atlas Ex+ levels. With the RNG utility elements, it’s certainly a fun and gimmicky weapon but it tends to be unreliable in Ultra Hard content (for obvious reasons).

In short, it’s an aesthetically pleasing weapon that’s also usable. Probably won’t receive and upgrade similar to last year’s anniversary series Novel but grabbing one won’t hurt just in case, knowing SEGA.

Liberate | RIVERLATTE (Rivalate) Series

Obtained through Zeig as the upgrade of the 15Star Novel series.

Supports:

64px-UIItemLiberateRifle.png
64px-UIItemLiberateLauncher.png

Liberate has 200 higher base attack than Lightstream | TRAILBLAZER and has a good potential. The Rifle S5 (Fiery End | Fatal Round, rifle) is usable, but loses to Vante Weihen due to the boost tied to a cooldown/dodge gimmick, unlike Vante’s ability to sacrifice Weak Bullet | Blight Rounds instead.

The Launcher S5 (Firey Zero | Obliterating Blast) boasts immense power; 250% boost to Zero Distance | Contact Blast on a higher weapon base makes it an overall upgrade from Exium Bunker. A solid choice for Rifle would be Mysterious Intent or Anthesis Cultivation, while Launcher can maintain its native one.

Liberate is definitely one of the strongest series in the game, with room for utility depending on S4/S5 choice. There are some better rifles in regards to DPP, survival and burst potential, though that’s not to say Liberate can’t provide in all of those categories while still outperforming in the main department: damage.

Below are example setups you can use on Liberate:

S4: Rifle or S4: Partizan + S5: Anthesis Cultivation
Utility S4 with the Qliphad affix doubler.

S4: Skilled Balance | Precise Balance + S5: Mysterious Purpose | Skillful Adept Will
Critical focused build, max mileage with Ra/Et or Ra/Ph subclasses.

S4: Raising Pursuit + S5: Mysterious Purpose | Skillful Adept Will (or) Anthesis Cultivation
Expensive build and more damage oriented.

S4: Launcher + S5: Fiery Zero | Obliterating Blast
Launcher focused build giving more PP regeneration on traps and a powerful Zero Distance counter.

LevelPotential Effect
1Increases critical hit rate by 10%, increases Power by 10% [19%], and decreases PP consumption by 10%.
2Increases critical hit rate by 15%, increases Power by 13% [21%], and decreases PP consumption by 12%.
3Increases critical hit rate by 20%, increases Power by 16% [23%], and decreases PP consumption by 15%.

Corrupted Launcher Tishia | Crush Launcher Ticia

This launcher is quite the rare trophy from Dio Hunar, being an actual weapon the boss uses and showing how you conquered the RNG demons to get it. It speeds up both normal attacks and Sphere Eraser’s activation by about 15% giving considerable DPS boosts to both of those.

Due to the limited use cases of Sphere Eraser and Launcher Normals not as damaging as PAs there’s more to be left wanted, especially when stronger Launchers exist.

LevelPotential Effect
1Increase power by 6%. Speeds up Normal Attacks & Photonic Laser by ~15%.
2Increase power by 8%. Speeds up Normal Attacks & Photonic Laser by ~15%.
3Increase power by 10%. Speeds up Normal Attacks & Photonic Laser by ~15%.

Lightstream Xion | Trailblazer Series

ui_item_1080323
ui_item_1090321

Only obtainable by trading in the matching weapon type of the Celestial | Starquaker series along with the Circular | Founder’s Amphitrite Stone.

Lightstream | TRAILBLAZER boasts one of the highest base attack out of any weapons currently in the game. Aside from it’s aesthetics, the Xion series is very straightforward; upon reaching below 10% PP, your entire PP gauge refreshes while granting a 3% damage boost, which goes into cooldown for 3 minutes afterwards.

Despite the seemingly long grind, once you’ve manage to make a Lightstream | TRAILBLAZER weapon, you’ll find it worth it as it’s still a formidable endgame weapon. EP6 UPDATE: With the plus potential treatment that made its way to Atlas Ex and Austere, Lightstream | TRAILBLAZER is better than ever and serves as a secondary option to the Puras & Stil weapons though is still dwarfed by the Divide Quest monstrosities.

LevelPotential Effect
1Increase Power by 8% [15%]. Fully restore PP when casting a PA/Tech while below 10% PP and bestow an additional Power bonus (3%) for 30 seconds (120s Recast).
2Increase Power by 9% [16%]. Fully restore PP when casting a PA/Tech while below 10% PP and bestow an additional Power bonus (3%) for 30 seconds (120s Recast).
3Increase Power by 10% [17%]. Fully restore PP when casting a PA/Tech while below 10% PP and bestow an additional Power bonus (3%) for 30 seconds (120s Recast).
